THE AD HOC COLLECTIVE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISTS PRESENTED MAKERS OF ALL NATURAL MEDICAL DEVICES AND BEAUTIFIERS, A PANEL ON OCEAN CONSERVATION AND A TALK ON MODULAR BUILDING WRAPPED UP BY SHELBY STONE’S TRANFORMATIVE LOVE CONSCIOUSLY RETREAT. THE DEBUT OF THE LAVISH TOPDOC CLINIC AND FUNCTIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AT THE FOUR SEASONS IN THE HEART OF BRICKELL WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK.
Miami Beach/ FL An official event of the 41st Annual SWIM WEEK, Sustainable Swim Week Int’l Miami and Love Consciously Retreat (S²WIM), July 12 through July 18, unspooled amid sugar sand beaches, Venetian inspired canals and a growing sense of planetary urgency. S²WIM commenced with a casting at the Institute Marangoni campus in Miami’s Design District. Since 1937 the venerated school of comprehensive design “has advanced fashion forward sustainability,” opines Director, Stephen Iacullo.
Another trip around the sun and another strut down the Cat Walk, S²wim served as a prelude to the Green Carpet Gala – Beverly Hills to include a retrospective of engaging environmental focused films slated to coincide with the London Edition of the CC-Forum (Climate Change) and the 27th Session of the UN Climate Change Conference in SharmEl-Sheikh, Egypt. (COP27- Conference of the Parties).
Designers Galore – From Glamor & More
Continuous eco and ethical fashion shows were presented by world renowned designers Lisa Nicole, Elie Madi, Alex Abraham’s Bikini Beach Australia in association with No. 3 Magazine and represented by Creative Director Maurice Ward, plant-based luggage by fashion-forward Tote & Carry and inspired eyewear by Alister Mekhai were among those designers on the S²WIM.com runway. The globally inspired event continues to nurture and incentivize emerging and established apparel and accessory designers, ground-breaking medical devices, aesthetic and wellness products. Here was a full calendar of immersive occasions as a welcome respite to the halcyon Swim Week days and nights.
Offering up an array of eco-friendly activations and evolutionary events, S²WIM unspooled at the Washington Ave and 6th Street Kimpton Angler’s Hotel, a calming oasis in the heart of Miami Beach.
The alluring, standing room only showcases were produced by Annette BibbyOliver of Dreamhouse Marketing Branding Group. She is known globally for her impeccable fashion showcases at some of the hottest annual galas, award ceremonies, and other red-carpet events. Her latest iteration was as Creative Director / Co-Executive Producer of the Annual Oscars Night Griot Gala Th New York Fashion Week in Times Square on the roster.
On the Kimpton Rooftop she was joined by world renowned Dwight Eubanks, ‘The International Man of Style’ of Red Carpet Productions, celebrity designer Jacob Meir of For the Stars Fashion House with world-famous Elie Madi, Culture Tree’s African inspired designs and Bojo & Boujee. The proceedings were filmed by cinematographer Andrew Kutno, staging by Uplight Miami and curated by Christian Ruart of RC Productions. Lisa Nicole of Bravo’s ‘Married to Medicine’ also presented Met Gala worthy glamour. A complement of accessories by Alister Mekhai Eyewear and futuristic masks by DermaBeam Pro™ graced the catwalk and were generously available in the S²WIM Pop Up Plaza. The aspirational plant-based, jellybean colored luggage and totes, by the irrepressible ‘Stitch’ and Tony Rey of Tote & Carry traveled the runway to add to the collections of discerning fashionistas and sojourners.
S²WIM.com guests were treated to informal modeling on No.3 Magazine’s Crypto Couture Cocktail and Tsar Caviar Bastille Day Celebration. An ethical and high-quality swim and resort line was debuted by Alex of Bikini Beach Australia while guests savored fresh caviar from Tsar’s. A company that supports sustainable farming and provides gourmands and chefs the highest quality caviar on earth and sea, their products are now available in South Florida.
With double digit heat and humidity, attendees were hydrated throughout the week with “Vue”, a healthy beverage that consists of natural plant-based ingredients, recyclable packaging and essential vitamins and minerals.
